November 2, 2010Probably Not Ok Either WayI'm not sure which way to hope for in this election. I think I'd be ok either way. If Republicans/Tea Partiers get control of the House (and maybe the Senate) there will be lots of investigations, once again proving how extreme they are, which will result in nothing but Obama's re-election in 2012. If somehow Democrats manage to retain control with a smaller majority, then I think it will focus their efforts a little. But we will still have Republican obstructionism at never before recorded levels (as has been the case over the last two years). Basically, either way we either win from the point of view of people who like political cat fighting. Or a lose if you are the kind of person who actually believes that government has a role to play in our lives and would like it to actually be effective. Actually, the first case sounds like Republican and the second like Democrat. So I guess for Democrats no matter how it turns out tonight it's likely bad news. No Comments |
