I've been thinking a lot of about the next level of organization of life stuff (like pictures and what not). One of the things I've been thinking about is organizing my life into phases. For example, my life phases at this point would be:
It's just a high level way of thinking about thirty six years of life and what has come and gone and all the crazy stuff along the way. Does this work for anyone else? Do you think of your life as a bunch of blocks with transitions between them?
Posted by jherr at November 4, 2003 10:40 AMabsolutely. I should update my list of life blocks...
Posted by: deeje at November 4, 2003 11:13 AMThis is to compartmentalized for me. And I'm not sure I understand the purpose of putting your life in blocks. This whole concept is a bit strange to me. The closest I Can think of is a time line - breaking up my life into chunks of years with a few words to describe them - and I don't think most words would do the blocks justice. a period of time s so much more than just college. As a rough outline I guess this works but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving a rough skeleton as the sum of my life. I think its the meat between the bones that makes life worth living.
