Polar Express in 3D

I don't know why we haven't heard about this before, but the Polar Express is coming out in IMAX in 3D! Here is a list of theatres.

From what I can see this wouldn't just be a 70mm film projected on the IMAX screen. It sounds like this would be the real 3D deal, IMAX size, releasing on November 10th.

Crazy.

POLAR EXPRESS is getting both good and bad reaction from the blogs as to it's "performance
capture" animation technique. Some of the negatives are valid, but along with this new
technology, another innovation is manifested in
this new film. It is being shown in true 3D
stereo (with nice glasses) in about 68 IMAX
theaters. I saw it and was blown away!. Drive 50 miles if you have too...but take your kids to the IMAX version. It is history making...Stunning!
