Sorta happy

I'm kinda happy with the result of this judicial stuff. I don't understand the reasoning of the right on this issue. Obviously they are wrong about the structure of the Senate and the move was completely unconstitutional. But even on a practical level, it was just stupid. They won't be a majority forever.

Anyway, I'm happy that the Republicans are sad. And that's what is important.

So much for the Republicans being power hungy or out of control or drunk with power or mad with power or any of that other nonsense you guys are always ranting about.

I'm not sad. Rush Limbaugh is and Hannity is, but I'm not. We're getting votes (and confirmations) on our judges and since Frist never signed on to "the deal", we still have the nuclear option when it's necessary.

Your both wrong and out of touch with your own party.

You are wrong because it was only a handful of Senators who took the Senate back from the brink of destruction where Frist had positioned it. Some of these handful were Republicans, who it seems are not part of the Christo-Fascist new American Reich headed by Bush, Cheney, Frist and Hastert. It was clearly a power grab. A clear indication that the neo-cons want absolute authority and control.

You are out of touch with your party because they now call it the "Constitutional option". They say that the "nuclear option" is what the Democrats will use in response. I'm sure you would agree with them that finding a loophole in Congressional procedures which allow them to change the rules of the Senate with only 51 votes is exactly what the framers hand in mind.

Aren't you proud of your party? They found some legal eagles who could bend enough rules and laws to change the Senate rules with only a simple majority. Inspiring. It's the kind of victory you want to tell your kids about.

Of course, I like your words, nuclear option, much better. Since that's what it is. It will reduce the Senate, which was designed to be a slow moving deliberative body, to the majority rules chaos of the House.

Ah, ranting. It's all we Democrats do. You are the power people. Your believe so strongly in your Christo-Fascist party. I can't imagine that you wouldn't want absolute power. The Democrats are a whiny bunch of traitors in your mind, why would we even want to listen to their ranting.

After all, your party is doing such a good job with the country. Gas prices are at an all time high. We are in two never-ending wars simultaneously. Federal taxes are lower, but state and local taxes have been hiked to make up for the shortfall. We are running record deficits. The American people hate your party and the President. The American people are in a culture war. The House and Senate are in a crisis. Our countries ports are no more insecure now than before 9/11, while at the same time we have had significant curtailment of personal freedoms.

Yes. A wonderful world you and your party have created for us and our children.

As you say, you still have the nuclear option. You can use it to wipe out the rest of us anti-American traitors who would stand in the way of your ultimate rule. Go ahead. One party rule is exactly what this country is all about. One God. One party.

It's going to be great to see you at the wedding.

And I'm fully aware of Hannity & the rest referring to it as the constitutional option. I used "nuclear option" for you.

Good ranting whine about the state of the country, too, by the way.

Yes, I look forward to it as well. I think there is a lot that we agree on. For example, I'm sure that we both feel that when a President lies he should be held to account. Don't you agree?
