Has my beloved Battlestar Galactica jumped the shark? The new introduction? Bringing back the original theme music? And the non-arc plotline of the most recent show. These things all have me worried.
That being said, I listened to the podcast and it looks like they will go with an arced plotline in a few episodes.

Once in the first episode, during the flyby of original series fighters during the Galactica "decomissioning". And in the last episode during the "documentary" on the Galactica. In both places it music used by the government or networks to glorify the military, so it serves more as ironic commentary on the original show and triumphantal theme music in general (see "America, F**k Yeah!" theme from Team America: World Police :-)
