Jack Johnson

I gotta say, Jack Johnson is getting a lot of airplay with the Curious George soundtrack and it's really grating on my nerves. The songs are like crushed flavorless pablum. They couldn't be more generic and inoffensive. I wouldn't mind it so much if it were just on the light rock stations, but it's on all of the rock stations. Ugh.

guess you must hate that its on heavy rotation on my Ipod too - course it plays with hollenbeck girl so Megan is getting a well rounded education.

I'll put up with it for you and Gee. But I turn it off in a flash when it's just me in the car.

BTW, it's "Hollaback Girl". Defined in several ways here:

Must be a California thing. I haven't heard a single song off that soundtrack on the radio here. And remember...it's a children's movie soundtrack...and the movie was inoffensive and generic, but charming at the same time. I can understand you not liking Jack Johnson..I think he's definitely one of those you either really like or really don't. He's got a distinct sound and style.

Perhaps it's just a problem that I'm having because I saw that movie twice. Seeing it once was ok. It was boring and inane, but passable given that it seemed to enthrall Megan. But the second time, well, I felt the the pilot in Starship Troopers who got his skull sucked by the "Brain Bug".
