One of the things I found refreshing last night was that even right wingers gave Obama credit for being "well spoken" in his speech. One even remarked that it was refreshing to be "spoken to as an adult". You don't say. It's something that thrills me. I am so tired of Bush with his "war good" or "tax bad" speeches, where you aren't supposed to question, you are merely told; here are five words that explain my position and the position of any patriotic ™ American ™.
Of course, the usual suspects all hated the speech. Perhaps Hannity simply lacks the IQ to understand the words. I remember him having a problem with Kerry using the construction "would that it were". Apparently even that level of speachifying is too tough for him to grasp.
Since we have had eight years of the 2nd grade level presidency, wouldn't it be refreshing to have someone in the White House who doesn't pander to the lowest common demoninator? Just once.
