The glass design at the top.
The glass design at the top. Sorry it's a bad picture, it was really foggy on Sunday morning.

9/22/2003 : The combination of Deco and Japanese architectures makes me think Wright. Some of these are outright copies of Wright classics. The effect was really nice. It showed restrained effort and taste. I also thought it was interesting how the architecture seemed to work with the highly stylized logo works that were put on top of it. An example is the "Build a Bear" logo below.

This is their homage to Frank in the Hollywood portion of the California adventure. It's a miniature version of his block architecture that was used in Hollywood.

The iron work behind the bear logo.
Deco or French, or both?
Wright style fonts.
The shape of the pillars and the wide flat look.
The wide brim and the glass look. The pillar behind used some decorative straps that gave it a Japanese feel.

Inside the store was some beautiful glass work that was more classic than deco.
